Bonjour!
My name is Michelle, and I first came to live in Paris in 1995. Over the years, I have lived in Spain, Sweden, and Dallas, Texas, but I returned to Paris permanently in 2014.
Paris became my sanctuary during one of the most challenging periods of my life. As a survivor of domestic violence and living with PTSD, I needed to find a way to heal. I discovered peace in nature, especially at the city's oldest flower market, Marché aux Fleurs.
Today, I engage in three activities that contribute to my healing journey:
1. Therapeutic Workshops and Experiences: I host small, therapeutic group sessions where participants can experience the same calm and healing I found in Paris. Together, we engage in enjoyable and restorative activities, such as:
- Flower Bouquet Arrangement Workshops
- Therapeutic Ceramic Classes
- Unique Spa Experiences
- Raclette Dinners
- Worship Music and Volunteering Opportunities
2. Guided Tours of Paris’s Historic Flower Market: I offer tours of the ancient Marché aux Fleurs, an iconic market that has served the people of Paris since the days of Napoleon III. This market was my refuge and a place of solace during my experience with domestic violence. It remains a sanctuary where I can find peace and de-stress.
3. Handmade Personalized Bookmarks: Through my website, I create and sell handmade, personalized bookmarks, which I mail to women around the world from Paris. A portion of the proceeds (10%) from each bookmark supports the preservation of the ancient flower markets that have been my sanctuary.
During your visit to Paris, I invite you to join me on a tour to explore the city through a lens of peace and tranquility. If you are unable to join the tour, I would be grateful if you could support my mission by purchasing a bookmark, adorned with flowers from the Parisian markets, to help preserve this historic market.
I wish you serenity and peace and look forward to meeting you soon!
Warm regards,
Michelle
